This is a dedicated conversation, scheduled separately from the interview, where we take the time to understand the life, memories, and moments that matter most to you. Rather than jumping straight into filming, this step allows us to thoughtfully explore your story in a relaxed, pressure-free environment.
During this session, we’ll talk through key life experiences, meaningful relationships, defining moments, and the themes that have shaped your journey. Family members are encouraged to be part of this conversation, as they often help bring out stories, details, and perspectives that might otherwise be overlooked.
From this, we carefully craft a personalized set of interview questions designed to feel natural and conversational. The goal is not to script your story, but to guide it in a way that allows it to unfold authentically and with clarity.
This preparation is what transforms the final film from a simple recording into a cohesive, meaningful narrative.
The DIY and Zoom package do not have a discovery session.

Interview
The Interview Phase is where your story is captured in your own voice.
This is a guided, conversational experience designed to feel natural, comfortable, and unhurried. Using the personalized questions developed during the Discovery session, we lead you through your story in a way that allows memories to surface organically.
There is no pressure to perform or “get it right.” The goal is simply to create a space where you can speak freely, reflect, and share your experiences as they come to mind.
We use professional audio and video equipment to ensure your voice, expressions, and personality are captured clearly and beautifully. The environment is kept calm and intentional so you can focus entirely on the conversation.
Family members are welcome to be present if desired, as their presence can bring out additional memories and add depth to the experience.
This phase is not about creating a perfect recording, it’s about capturing something real. The authenticity of this conversation is what gives the final film its emotional depth and lasting value.

Editing Film
The Editing Phase is where your story is brought to life.
After the interview is complete, we begin shaping your story into a cinematic legacy film. This process goes far beyond simply cutting clips together. We carefully review the full interview to identify the most meaningful moments, emotional highlights, and natural story arcs.
Your photos and home videos are then thoughtfully integrated to visually support the story as it unfolds. Each element is placed with intention, reinforcing memories, adding context, and deepening the emotional impact.
We refine pacing, enhance audio, color grade the footage, and incorporate music that complements the tone of the story. Every detail is considered to ensure the final film feels natural, engaging, and timeless.
The result is more than a video, it is a carefully crafted film that preserves not just what happened, but how it felt.
